Sabia Wade (she/they), is a Black, Queer, CEO, Investor, Author, Educator, Full Spectrum Doula, and expander of Black Luxury. Sabia is the founder of Birthing Advocacy Doula Trainings, For the Village Inc, Loads of Pride Logistics, and author of Birthing Liberation (now available for preorder!). She provides mentorship to entrepreneurs, serves as an executive coach and board member, as well as a speaker, educator, and programming development consultant for organizations and communities throughout the Birth and Reproductive Health Industry around the world.

As an advocate for inclusivity, equality, and access, every part of Sabia’s life’s work centers on liberation of all people through Reproductive Justice. She was called to birth work after witnessing variance in the quality of treatment and outcome across different races of people while working in hospitals and across the medical industry. This shifted her career path from a desire to support people through nursing to advocating for reproductive justice as a Full Spectrum Doula. Sabia worked with The Prison Birth Doula Project supporting incarcerated and formerly incarcerated people with substance abuse disorders in birth. During Sabia’s time as a volunteer there, she discovered that reproductive justice touches everything from the water we drink to the medical systems available to us to the education and incarceration system and beyond.

Sabia’s expanded perspective of Reproductive Justice and Black Luxury led to a professional focus on forming solutions to expand wealth, access, and possibilities to Black people and marginalized communities by founding Birthing Advocacy Doula Trainings for community care workers. On the ground, her non-profit organization, For the Village provides doulas at no or low-cost to low-income and marginalized communities in San Diego, CA.

For many years now, Sabia’s work has aimed to expand equity across BIPOC communities and created solutions that lead to resolving problems in Reproductive Justice. She continues to pave paths that represent possibilities of evolution beyond the external expectations placed on marginalized communities, as represented by the creation of Loads of Pride, a new frontier in the trucking industry, and investments in luxury goods such as a new wine label, SOLOTIS, which focuses on expansion of luxury, access, and care across communities. Sabia is currently writing Birthing Liberation (the first book of many!), and provides coaching in Wealth Creation, Equity, and Business Strategy. Preorder Birthing Liberation HERE.

Although Sabia is branching beyond community support as a doula, every part of the work she is involved in points back to Reproductive Justice as the solution to building systems, patterns, and defying expectations in ways that allow possibilities for shifting the dominance of capitalism and racism within the ways we exist as a society.
